Taiwan's HTC smartphone pembesut responding to reports that mention one of its products, HD7 having problems receiving the signal as it has plagued the Apple iPhone 4.
In a written statement to the tech site Computer Weekly, HTC says that indeed the signal reception quality may decline if the handset is held in a certain way.
"Quality in industrial design becomes an important key for HTC. That is why, in order to ensure users get the best signal strength, we put the antenna in the smartphone area that can not be covered by the hands or face of the user when being used," the statement quoted by Computer Weekly HTC and quoted on Monday (6/12/2010).
But now HTC not deny if the signal strength will be weakened when the antenna area is fully enclosed by the palm of the hand or finger of the user.
"We test all our phones extensively and believe that under normal circumstances, signal strength and performance of the handset is sufficient for operating the phone when the network coverage is inadequate," he said.
By issuing this statement, HTC is like lick his own saliva. As is known, when Apple CEO Steve Jobs suffered a similar problem said that the imperfection iPhone 4, particularly in terms of signal reception, actually experienced all smartphones.
